Abstract

GDP as the strongest measurement still being used by all countries to measure economic growth for the welfare of the community. The effect of GDP measurement is very influential on each individual's activity. Related to the idea of the problems in the composition of the calculation of GDP, Islam is perfect in the measurement of well- being. Achievement in parlamanter Falah (real welfare) that forms the grandstand Islamic welfare measures, because basically Islam has always taught its people to meet every life with complete satisfaction in every aspect of both material and spiritual. Of this issue, researcher would like to propose the concept of measuring Sharia GDP as a measurement of economic growth. Researcher apply a qualitative descriptive method using library research and an indepth interview with several experts in this study. The results of this study were the difference in the formula for calculating Muhammad Nafik and Adiwarman Karim Sharia GDP. Muhammad Nafik in the formula states that Islamic Economic activity of all components is a component in the calculation of GDP Sharia. And in the formula Adiwarman Karim stated that Sharia GDP is proposed to measure GDP Sharia as a reduction in non-halal GDP by income and a reduction in Islamic economic externalities. Both are useful but the researchers conclude that the formula Muhammad Nafik has advantages because it really only counts Islamic economic activity.
