Kajian Toksisitas Pestisida Berdasarkan Masa Kerja Dan Personal Hygiene Pada Petani Hortikultura Di Desa Demangan
Abstract
The agricultural sector as the the main source of livelihood in Ponorogo has health effects in farmers, especially from inproper use of pesticides. Based on the previous studies, the farmers exposing to
pesticides will have a change levels of an enzyme cholinesterase due to a toxic effect and it can cause an health disorder. The objective of this research is to determine the correlation between length of work and personal hygiene with enzyme cholinesterase levels in horticulture farmers. This research used survey analitic method with cross sectional study design. The population of this research was the horticultural farmers who joined in farmers group “Demang Jaya”. The number of samples in this research was 30 farmers. The instruments used were a questionnaire and Cobast for cholinesterase tests. The Data analysis was conducted in univariate and bivariate (ANNOVA). The result showed that cholinesterase of horticultural farmer was 60% at moderate levels. There was no correlation between length of work (p-value 0,605) and personal hygiene (p-value 0,661) with enzyme cholinesterase levels. The regression linear analysis showed that 21% Cholinesterase variable
variations were explained by length of work and personal hygiene, 79% were caused by other variables that did not include in the analysis. This research contributes to the data enrichment that will be areference and the farmers’ health record for Pos UKK Demang Jaya Sehat as occupational healthprogram and public health centre in Siman.
