DESCRIPTION OF THE STUDENTS’ KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL HYGIENE TO THE SCABIES IN MODERN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL DARUSSALAM GONTOR FOR GIRLS CAMPUS 2

Abstract
Scabies is a skin disease caused by the Sarcoptes scabiei varian hominis mite. Scabies generally attacks people who live in groups such as villages, homes, prisons, dormitories, and orphanages who have poor environmental services. This scabies disease is very easily contagious to humans, animals to humans or vice versa. This research aims to describe the students’ knowledge and personal hygiene to the scabies in Modern Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor For Girls Campus 2. This research uses a retrospective descriptive method with a saturated sample design. This sample was taken as much as 37 students using nonprobability (Likert Scale) sampling technique. Results of knowledge based on scabies the definition and symptoms of scabies with a percentage of 59,45%, based on the cause of scabies with a percentage of 62,62%, based on the prevention of scabies with a percentage 51,35%, based on Scabies treatment with a percentage of 48,64%. Personal hygiene based on skin hygiene with a percentage 51,35%, based on body hygiene with a percentage of 62,16%, based on nail hygiene and hands with a percentage 43,24%, based on the cleanliness of the towel with a percentage of 64,86%, based on genital hygiene 81,08%. The conclusion of this research is most of the knowledge of students belongs in the category of good and personal hygiene akhlaqul karimah mostly belongs in the category of good
