Abstract
THE EFFECT OF DAUD FASTING HABIT’S ON LIPID PROFIL OF UNIDA GONTOR STUDENTS Suci Dwi Nofa Syahputri 3720167181489 Darussalam Gontor University (Unida Gontor) is a pesantren-based university that requires its students to live in a dormitory for 24 hours. The Unida Gontor students had a good habit of Daud fasting. Daud fastingis fasting which is done by carrying out one day of fasting and one day of not fasting in succession. Students who have the habit of Daud fastingdo lipid profile checks to determine the effect ofDaud fastinghabits on lipid profile levels in Unida Gontor students. This research is an experimental study by conducting lipid profile examination. The checks carried out include examining LDL, HDL, total cholesterol and triglycerides. This research was conducted in the fasting group 1-6 months, 7-12 months, 13-18 months and those who did not fast. The number of subjects studied was 7 people per group with a total of 28 subjects. Method of measuring lipid profile levels using the POCT method. To determine the effect of Daud fastingwith lipid profile levels, the One Way Annova test was used with data values that were normally distributed and Kruskal Wallis with values that were not normally distributed. The results of this study show the following values, for LDL data p = 0.888 (p> 0.05), HDL p = 0.169 (p> 0.05) and total cholesterol p = 0.662 (p> 0.05) which means Daud fastingis said to have no significant effect on LDL and HDL levels and total cholesterol. Whereas in the Kruskal Wallis test for triglyceride data, the effect of Daud fastinghabits on triglyceride levels showed a value of p = 0.660 (p> 0.05) meaning that Daudfasting was said to have no significant effect on triglyceride levels. From this study it can be concluded thatDaudfasting habit causes the average lipid profile (LDL, HDL, triglycerides and total cholesterol) to show optimal level although statistically shows no significant results.
