Larung offerings in the city of Jepara is one of a series of events for the Lomban Festival which is held on 8 Shawal every year. This article aims to find out the history of the Larung offerings at the Lomban Festival, the implementation of the Lomban Festival and its objectives. This type of research is library research with descriptive analysis data presentation method and uses a sociological approach. Jepara is a city where the majority of the population is fishermen, has a variety of ancestral cultural traditions that are still preserved today. One of these traditions is Larung offerings at Lomban Festival. Historically, this tradition originated from the incident when Jepara officials were trapped by a storm when they wanted to cross to Karimunjawa. The essence of the tradition is to throw the buffalo’s head into the sea with the aim of being an offering to the powerful one. Over time this tradition has changed, where at first it was very thick with elements of shirk, but now it is full of positive goals and values.
