Abstract
Islam is based on revelation in the form of the holy Qur'an. For Muslim scientists, the Qur'an is a source of knowledge from which all kinds of scientific disciplines are developed. Shari'ah sciences such as, creed, fiqh, kalam, philosophy without denying general scientific disciplines such as astronomy, medicine, physics, chemistry and so on. On the other hand, Modern science denies the role of religion in scientific studies. Until in the end, Modern science distanced itself from religious doctrine. This paper focuses on studying the status (position) of religion in the perspective of Islamic science and Modern (Western) science with a literature review that emphasizes textual aspects. From this research it is concluded that religion is inherently inseparable from science. Islamic science adheres to dn or religion, while Modern science is no longer based on religion, until it accumulates the damage it causes. This triggers Muslim scientists to take a responsive attitude, namely by offering a solution to the idea of Islamization of Modern science. The move is a response to the impact felt by Muslims. Islamization of Modern science should be able to be a solution to the damage and destruction caused by Modern scientists
