Abstract

This study took the research location at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor (PMDG) Campus Putri 2, Ngawi. The background of this research is the unsatisfactory learning outcomes of KMI students in class 1H in the Tarikh Islam subject. One of the causes of low learning outcomes and lack of student activity is the application of learning methods that are less attractive and tend to be boring. The lecture method according to the Tarikh Islamic material teacher often makes children bored, chat, or fall asleep. So this study tries to find solutions to improve student learning outcomes by applying mind mapping learning methods with cooperative-based learning models or collaboration between one student and another student. This study used the Classroom Action Research method with the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model, the subject consists of 32 students of class 1H KMI PMDG Putri 2. Data collection used observation techniques, and learning outcomes tests, for observations processed by data reduction, data classification, and data interpretation. . While the test is processed by calculating the average and the percentage of complete learning. The results of the research conducted showed an increase of about 37.5% from the percentage of learning outcomes in cycle I and learning outcomes in cycle II, namely the percentage of learning completeness in cycle I was 25%, and in cycle II is increased to 62.5%. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model with the mind mapping method can improve student learning outcomes in Islamic Date subjects in class 1H.
