Abstract
This research is motivated by teacher teaching in classes that still use traditional learning methods. These learning activities tend to be monotonous and less varied so that students feel bored in learning. This study aims to determine whether there is effectiveness in using the PBL strategy and how far the effectiveness of using the PBL strategy is for the learning outcomes of class 2 Muthola'ah KMI PM Nurussalam. This research was conducted using a quantitative-experimental method, the True Experiment research design. The population in this study were all 2 female students with a total sample of 44 female students who were divided into an experimental class and a control class using a random sampling technique. From this study it was concluded that: There is the effectiveness of the PBL learning strategy on learning outcomes in the Muthola'ah subject of class 2 KMI PM Nurussalam students. It is proved that Sign. (2-tailed) of the Menn-Whitney Test is 0.000, thus there is a difference in post-test scores on Muthola'ah subjects in the experimental and control groups, the experimental group with a high score of 92.73 and the control group with a low score of 53, 18. The effectiveness of the use of the PBL strategy is relatively high as evidenced by the Menn-Whitney results that the Asymp.sig (2-tailed) score is 0.000, so that there is a difference in the post-test scores on the Muthola'ah material in the experimental group with a high score of 92.73 and in the control with a low score of 53, 18. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the PBL strategy in Muthalaah at MI Nurussalam has proven to be effective. Keywords: Strategy PBL, Learning Outcome, Muthola’ah.
