IMPROVING THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF 6TH GRADE STUDENTS ON ISLAMIC EDUCATION LESSON THROUGH CANVA-BASED INTERACTIVE VIDEO LEARNING MEDIA AT SDIT HADLONAH DARUSSALAM PONOROGO
Abstract
This class action research is based on the low learning score of grade 6 students at SDIT
Hadlonah Darussalam, Ponorogo on Islamic Religious Education material. This is caused by the
lack of student activity in the teaching and learning process, the lack of innovation of teachers who
only use the lecture method, which causes students to get bored and bored quickly so that the
learning process is not optimal so that it does not achieve the learning targets and goals.
The objectives of this study are (1) to increase the learning activity of grade 6 students in
Islamic religious education materials by using Canva-based Learning Media at SDIT Hadlonah
Darussalam Ponorogo. (2) to improve the learning outcomes of grade 6 students in Islamic religious
education materials by using Canva-based Learning Media at SDIT Hadlonah Darussalam Ponorogo
This type of research is Classroom Action Research. In this study, the teacher and observer
are the researchers. This research consists of the first cycle and the second cycle which consists of:
planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques and tools in
this study are using descriptive analysis techniques on data in the form of documentation of student
learning outcomes, observation sheets and test results.
The results of the study show that CANVA-based interactive learning media has an
influence on the learning atmosphere to be more active. Student activity in the first cycle reached
46.29% and in the second cycle increased to 87.50%. The increase that occurred from the first cycle
to the second cycle was 41.21%. As for learning outcome in cycle I, the percentage value of
completeness was 26%. with details of 20 students who have not reached the KKM and 7 students
who have reached the KKM. Therefore, the researcher decided to conduct a second cycle. In the
second cycle, there was an increase in scores with 23 students who had achieved KKM with a
percentage of 82%. Thus, it can be concluded that CANVA-based interactive learning media can
increase student activity and learning outcomes.
Based on the discussion above, the researcher gives suggestions: 1) for teachers to have
learning innovations by applying learning media that are considered to be able to help the learning
process and to prepare teaching materials properly and flexibly. 2) for future researchers who apply
CANVA learning media in order to develop with different variations such as different templates,
different elements, or different subjects.
