IMPLEMENTATION OF WORDWALL MEDIA IN IMPROVING VOCABULARY MASTERY IN ARABIC LANGUAGE LEARNING (Classroom Action Research 7C Class Female Students Qoryatul Qur’an Islamic Institution Karangmojo Weru Sukoharjo Central Java)

Abstract
Qoryatul Qur'an Islamic Institution is a Qur'an memorization boarding school located in
Weru District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java. Arabic lesson are one of the materials used
to improve students' language skills. The observation results prove that low student scores
are caused by the different levels of vocabulary mastered by students and teachers who
only use lecture methods without using certain teaching media, which can bore students.
This research aims to improve the mastery of Arabic vocabulary of grade 7C students in
Arabic lessons by applying Wordwall learning media at the Qoryatul Qur'an Islamic
Institution Sukoharjo for the 2024-2025 academic year.
This research uses Classroom Action Research. In the first and second cycles, 26 students
were in class 7C of the Qoryatul Qur'an Islamic Institution Sukoharjo. To obtain the
necessary data, the researcher collected data through structured observation techniques,
tests, interviews, and documentation.
The results of this study are as follows: 1) The application of Wordwall learning media
succeeded in student activeness observation sheets from the first cycle, which reached
61.54%, to the second cycle, which reached 75.82%, with an increase of 14.28%. This is
also evidenced by an increase in the percentage of students who passed the first cycle by
53.85% and in the second cycle reached 100% with an increase of 46.15 % 2) That the
application of Wordwall-based media succeeded in increasing the mastery of Arabic
vocabulary of grade 7C students, with evidence that the average class score in the first cycle
was 67.31 and in the second cycle reached 87.64 with an increase in the average class score
of 20.33. This is also evidenced by the increase in the number of students who exceeded
the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) score from the first cycle by 53.85% and in
the second cycle reached 100% with an increase of 46.15%.
Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the researcher hopes that
students will pay attention to the teacher during learning, both using Wordwall learning
media and other media. Teachers to be able to apply Wordwall media in learning. And to
the next researcher, so that this research can be a reference to develop and apply innovative
learning media in learning.
