Abstract

The problem of morality is serious because it makes the young generation of the Muslim community lose their true foundation of life. Consequently, they will suffer in their life, lose happiness and meaningful life because of the secular and materialistic way of life those infused by their morality. We need to discover about how to develop the morality furthermore, especially on how it could be applied in our educational system, not only rational and material aspects, but also include moral and spiritual, with a comprehensive and integrative approach, under Tauhidic worldview and paradigm. Even morals must be applied in the times. This research aimed to know the morality according to Fazlur Rahman. It has both academic and particular uses as academic use as additional reading and literature material for students and the wider community in general. This research is expected to contribute to the treasurer of science in the academic sphere and become a passion for exploring further the products of thought produced by Muslims. Especially on the role of Morality and its implications for the problems faced today. This research is focused on the study of literature (library research) with philosophically approach analysize Fazlur Rahman's books and author's books others are closely related to the topic of the Qur’an. So that the meaning of the whole is not a legal benchmark, but vigilance against immoral behavior. Fazlur Rahman through his methods filled the moral vacuum created by classical Sufism. Therefore, Fazlur Rahman through his work invites us to see moral ideals that are following the Qur'anic view. Through work through historical criticism methods and normative methods and the art of understanding the Qur'an becomes a way of science. It is against generations of Muslims to find a moral message in the Qur'an. It is based on what is morality according to Fazlur Rahman and how moral contribution Fazlur Rahman perspective, as well as how moral influence of perspective Fazlur Rahman. The Research discovers that Fazlur Rahman's concept of morality is a holistic view of the Qur'an on the main themes. Divinity, human deeds, nature, satan, and eschatology. This view is the result of his original creation that uses the theory of double movement. Through view, Fazlur Rahman considers that the classical theologian's study of the Qur'an is a reductionist attitude, so it only leads to debate. Next to that, through this theory, the problems of morality marginalize The dimensions of humanity and divinity will be overcome. This study is one of the small contributions to re-articulate the general conclusions of Islamic metaphysics that have been built by Muslim intellectuals in the past Following the development of contemporary science. There are still many areas that need to be explored, I hope it can be an example for future projects.
