Abstract

As a through manual for human existence, the Qur’ān provides timeless insight that is still very applicable to today's problems, such as the difficulties of parenthood. Many families find it difficult to cultivate discipline, faith, and emotional ties in a time of overparenting, indulgence, and technological distractions. Essential elements of Prophetic parenting, including obedience to Allāh, spiritual upbringing, and strong familial ties, are illustrated by the story of Prophet Ibrāhīm and Ismā’īl (pbut), which is told in Surah Aṣ-Ṣāffāt (37:102), Surah Ibrāhīm (14:35 & 37), and Surah Al-Baqarah (2:127). By encouraging children to be resilient, independent, and balanced while keeping a strong religious connection, these values offer answers to contemporary parenting conundrums. The importance of the Qur’ān as a source of direction for overcoming the ethical and spiritual difficulties of modern family life is highlighted by this study. This research aims to analyze the concept of Prophetic parenting in the Qur’ān , through analysis of the story of Prophets Ibrāhīm and Ismā’īl as. and this study also aims to analyze the relevance of Prophetic parenting in the Qur’ān with human behavior by focusing on the story of Prophets Ibrāhīm and Ismā’īl AS. Therefore, Prophetic parenting of Prophet Ibrāhīm and Ismā’īl as can be used as a reference in facing parenting challenges. This research is based on literature, using descriptive analysis method so that it will produce a clear and comprehensive description. The approach used in this research is a thematic interpretation approach by collecting verses related to prophetic parenting in the story of Prophet Ibrahim and Isma'il as. then analyzing the meaning of the verses and relate them to addressing parenting challenges. The results of this research indicate that three fundamental tenets of Prophetic parenting are crucial for the holistic development of children. Three fundamental tenets of Prophetic parenting; faith and obedience to God; fostering a spiritual environment, and upholding a close father-child bond are highlighted by the relationship between Prophet Ibrāhīm and his son Ismā’īl (peace be upon them), which serves as an example of unwavering faith, trust, and obedience to Allāh's will. These ideas provide answers to contemporary parenting problems like technological distractions, overparenting, and indulgent parenting. First, parents can avoid overparenting by encouraging faith and resilience in their children, guiding them wisely while trusting them to make moral decisions. Second, by encouraging moral responsibility and discipline, a spiritual environment like that of Prophet Ibrāhīm in Makkah helps counteract indulgent parenting. Last but not least, upholding a strong father-child bond through the cooperative construction of the Ka'bah emphasizes the value of meaningful interaction and quality time, which combats the emotional detachment brought on by technological distractions. Parents can successfully navigate today's challenges and raise resilient, emotionally healthy, and morally upright children by putting these Prophetic parenting principles into practice. The researcher in this case suggest analyzing with other approaches such as language approaches or specifically using the views of a particular figure, so as to make this research more in-depth and can increase the understanding of readers, especially in the discussion of Prophetic parenting and its relevance to human behavior.
