Abstract

Emotional management is a person’s ability to manage their emotions with thought, reason and action so that they can be channeled properly and healthily. In the current era, many cases are found due to emotions that are not well controlled. In this case, the researcher raised the emotional management in the story of Prophet Musa a.a. because it contains a variety of emotions that he experienced and his attitude in managing these emotions, besides it is because he one of the categories of Ulul ‘Azmi. Researcher refer to Wahbah Zuhailiy’s interpretation in tafsir Al-Munir because he discusses quite a lot about the emotional condition of Prophet Musa a.s. This study aims to analyze the dimensions of emotion in the story of Prophet Musa a.s. when with Bani Israil. In addition, this research also analyzes the relationship between the story of Prophet Musa a.s. with Bani Israil in the Qur'an with the theory of emotional management contained in Surah Al-A'raf verses 150, 151, 154, 155 and Surah Thaha verse 97, so that the story of Prophet Musa a.s. can be one of the references for people in managing their emotion properly. This research is a literature research. The method used is the descriptiveanalysis method and the approach taken is the thematic interpretation approach by collecting verses related to emotional management in the story of Prophet Musa a.s.. Then analyze the meaning of these verses and connect them with the theory of emotional management. The results of this study are that there are several dimensions of emotion in the story of Prophet Musa a.s., namely anger, sadness, disappointment and fear. While the value of emotional management in the story of Prophet Musa a.s. namely 1) The displacemet model , namely throwing the alwa>h and pulling the head of Prophet Harun a.s. 2) Cognitive adjustment model, which is trying to think positively 3) Coping model, which is choosing seventy people from his followers to pray to Allah SWT, and told Samiri to leave. Researcher realized that this research is far from perfect and has many shortcomings. So, researcher hope that further research can analyze more deeply related to this theme with the study of different figures so that this discussion becomes broader.
