Indonesia is an endemic area for Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) transmitted by Aedes sp. mosquitoes. This disease is a serious health problem with increasing cases every year. The use of synthetic mosquito repellent such as N, N-diethyl-mtoluamide (DEET) often causes adverse side effects. One of the natural ingredients that can be used to replace DEET is celery, which contains limonene, beta-selinene, and sedanenolide compounds. This study aims to conduct a repellent test of celery essential oil lotion preparations against Aedes sp. mosquitoes. This research method is an experimental method by conducting a repellent test on several celery essential oil lotion formulations at concentrations (F0) 0ml, (F1) 3ml, (F2) 4ml, and (F3) 5ml. The respondents used were 12 people. Data in the form of protection against mosquitoes, were analyzed by one way ANOVA using SPSS 20.0 and a significance level of 95%. The results of the study showed that celery essential oil lotion (Apium graveolens L.) has repellent power against Aedes sp. mosquitoes (p<0.05). The lotion that has the best repellent power is formulation 2 with a celery concentration of 4ml (p=0.003). Therefore, further research is needed by combining celery essential oil with other types of plants, to increase the effectiveness of repellent against Aedes sp. mosquitoes and making preparations in different forms other than lotions such as spray or gel.
