Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the effect of digital financial literacy and cognitive ability on investment Decisions, with investment intention as a mediate variable. In this context, digital financial literacy refers to an individual's understanding of financial concepts related to the use of digital technology, while cognitive ability includes analytical thinking and problem-solving skills that influence financial decisions. This study also investigates how investment intention can be a mediator in the relationship between digital financial literacy, cognitive ability, and investment decisions. The methodology used in this study is a quantitative approach with probability sampling techniques, using the cluster sampling method. The sample determination was carried out using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 0.5%. The population of this study was 17,431 people, and the sample taken was 400 respondents, who came from 7 major cities in East Java. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results of the study indicate that digital financial literacy and cognitive ability have a significant effect on investment Decisions. In addition, investment intention is proven to act as a mediate variable that links digital financial literacy and cognitive ability with investment Decisions. This study contributes significantly to the comprehension of the factors that influence investment decisions, as well as the contribution of investment intention to the process. The conclusion of this study is that to improve investment Decisions, it is important for investors to have a good level of digital financial literacy and adequate cognitive abilities. Investment intention is an important factor that mediates the influence of both variables on investment decisions. The theoretical implications of this study enhance the literature on investment Decisions by emphasising the significance of psychological and cognitive factors in the investment desicion process.
