Fitri Khairunnisa, Lulu (2025) The Influence of Social Support, Workload, on Mental Health with Job Satisfaction as a Moderating Variable (A study on Teachers KMI at Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor for Girls Campus 1). S1 Undergraduate thesis, Universitas Darussalam Gontor.
Abstract
Teachers' mental health is an important aspect that affects the quality of education, especially in pesantren environments characterized by intensive work. High workload and inadequate social support can increase the risk of teacher mental health disorders. This study aims to analyze the effect of social support and workload on mental health, with job satisfaction as a moderating variable (a study on KMI Teachers at Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor for Girls, Campus 1). This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 respondents and then analyzed using moderated regression analysis. Moderation regression analysis. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with a simple random sampling method, where the sample is taken randomly without considering strata in the population. Without considering strata in the population, assuming that the population is homogeneous. Determination of the sample size was carried out using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 5%. The independent variables in this study are social support and workload, while mental health is the dependent variable and job satisfaction is the moderating variable. The results showed that social support and workload had a positive and significant influence on teachers' mental health. However, job satisfaction was not shown to play a significant moderating role in the relationship between social support, workload, and mental health. These findings emphasize the importance of creating a supportive work environment and managing teachers' workload well to maintain their mental well-being. The results of this study are expected to provide recommendations for pesantren managers in designing policies that can improve teacher welfare and support the quality of education in Islamic boarding school.
