Sophia, Hilmaya (2025) INTERACTIVE LEARNING GAME OF AUGMENTED REALITY-BASED HUMAN DIGESTIVE SYSTEM USING MDA FRAMEWORK METHOD. S1 Undergraduate thesis, Universitas Darussalam Gontor.
Abstract
This research aims to develop interactive learning media using Augmented Reality (AR) technology to help students understand the human digestive system. The study's background includes the importance of the digestive system and the challenges students face in learning, such as limited teaching aids. By using AR, learning is expected to become more engaging and interactive, thus improving students’ understanding of abstract concepts. The application developed is aimed at 8th-grade students of Al-Kautsar Depok Junior High School / MTs, focusing on the digestive process from the mouth to the end. This research also identifies the limitations of teaching aids in learning Biological Sciences and hopes that this application can provide a more interactive learning experience. The app features AR marker scanning to display 3D models of digestive organs, interactive quizzes, and information about the app. Tests were conducted using the black box method, and compatibility tests on Android devices showed positive results, with an average satisfaction level of 87% from material experts and 91% from media experts. This research uses the MDA Framework to design applications and the Waterfall software development method. The results showed that this application can improve students’ understanding of the digestive system through an interactive learning experience.
