Abstract
The competitiveness of buying and selling gold in cash has now competed with technological developments which are dominated by non-cash gold sales. The existence of gold buying and selling stores in cash affects the attractiveness of consumers which tends to decrease. In fact, when viewed from the principles of muamalah fiqh, there are many positive sides compared to buying and selling gold in a non-cash manner. PT. Muara Logam Indonesia Surabaya branch is the largest gold buying and selling store that was established in 2012 by implementing a cash system. This is an interesting point for researchers to analyze more deeply using the principles of muamalah fiqh. The purpose of this study is to analyze the principle of gold buying and selling services in cash at PT. Muara Logam Indonesia and analyze it with the principles of fiqh muamalah. The research method used is qualitative research and includes field research with a descriptive analysis approach. Data were collected through direct observation, structured interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study uses descriptive analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study show that the principle of gold buying and selling services in cash at PT. Muara Logam Indonesia is to apply five principles, including: clarity and transparency; halal and quality; not accepting non-cash sales; and fair service. Then buying and selling gold in cash at PT. Muara Logam Indonesia has been in accordance with the principles of Fiqh Muamalah which has applied five principles including mubah, (ta'awun), justice (a'adl), mutual benefit (murabahah) and mutual consent/ridha. However, there is still a principle of muamalah that has not been maximized, namely inconsistencies in buying and selling gold in cash caused by Price Fluctuations. So the researcher suggested that PT. Muara Logam Indonesia to be more consistent in maintaining its slogan in order to further improve the quality that is trusted in accordance with the principles of muamalat so that it attracts more attention to customers.
