Abstract
The development of Islamic banking in Indonesia has experienced a positive trend, but its market share is still relatively small compared to conventional banking. One of the factors that influence the low adoption of Islamic banking services is the level of Islamic financial literacy and inclusion among the community, especially students as the younger generation who will be potential users in the future. This study aims to analyze the effect of Islamic financial literacy and inclusion on the decision of Darussalam Gontor University students to open an Islamic bank account. This study uses a quantitative approach with logistic regression analysis techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 80 respondents selected by random sampling method. The results showed that Islamic financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on the decision to open an Islamic bank account with a regression coefficient value of 0.172, sig value. 0.086 (<0.10), and an odds ratio of 1.187. This indicates that the higher the students' understanding of Islamic financial principles and products, the more likely they are to use Islamic bank services. Islamic financial inclusion also has a positive and significant effect on the decision to open an Islamic bank account with a regression coefficient value of 0.247, sig value. 0.007 (<0.10), and odds ratio of 1.280, which indicates that easy access to Islamic financial services encourages students to become Islamic bank customers. Simultaneously, Islamic financial literacy and inclusion have a significant effect on the decision to open an Islamic bank account, as evidenced by the Omnibus Test with a value of dig. 0,000 (<0,10). The results of this study indicate that increasing Islamic financial literacy and inclusion contributes to increasing students' decisions to use Islamic banking services, and educational institutions increase Islamic financial literacy and inclusion to strengthen the Islamic banking industry in Indonesia.
