Satriyo Pudjo, Giyantoro (2025) DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTERACTIVE IQRO' VOLUME 3 LEARNING MEDIA BASED ON AUGMENTED REALITY. S1 Undergraduate thesis, Universitas Darussalam Gontor.
Abstract
Learning to read Qur'an is an important for Muslims. As technology develops, digital-based learning methods are increasingly in demand. Iqro' learning at TPA Al Amin Brahu, Ponorogo, is carried out directly between teachers and students. In contrast, the learning media still focuses on the Iqro' book as the main source. The interview results show that this teaching method is effective, which causes students start feeling bored and less motivated in the learning process. This research aims to design and develop the AR-Iqro' Volume 3 application, an interactive teaching media based on Augmented Reality (AR). The research method used is SDLC Waterfall, which includes planning, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. This application was developed for the Android operating system and tested at Darussalam Gontor University Ponorogo and TPQ Al-Amin Brahu Ponorogo. The research results show that the AR-Iqro' application has main features such as Augmented Reality mode, digital book display, and interactive navigation which makes it easier for users to access learning material. The test results show that the AR-Iqro application provides excellent results in three main aspects. In testing learning materials, the application obtained a satisfaction level of 96%, indicating that the teaching rules and elements were by the learning standards applied. Media testing shows that the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) meet the principles of interactive design with a rating percentage of 96%, which indicates that the appearance and navigation of the application is well suited to user needs. In user testing, the application received a positive response with an average rating of 97%, confirming that the application is easy to use, and has a clear three-dimensional display and intuitive navigation. Overall, the AR-Iqro application succeeded in meeting Augmented Reality-based interactive learning standards with the title "Very Good" in all three aspects of the test. As conclusion, the AR-Iqro application has been proven suitable for use as an interactive learning medium based on Augmented Reality (AR) with good quality. This application meets standards in terms of learning materials, user interface, and user experience, and has the potential to be widely applied in technology-based Qur'an learning.
