Haul is a form of custom that is usually carried out by a certain community or society as a manifestation of remembering death as well as honoring someone who has passed away. As in Tegalsari village, Ponorogo Regency, which routinely carries out the haul event of Kyai Ageng Muhammad Besari as a respected figure in the Muslim community, especially in the village. With the presence of the haul tradition of Kyai Ageng Muhammad Besari, it finally made Tegalsari village one of the villages that has a high religious tradition, making the number of pilgrims present in Tegalsari Village increase every year. This research aims to understand the values contained in the tradition, especially in the context of the social and religious life of the people of Tegalsari Village, Ponorogo Regency. This research is in the form of field research and is descriptive qualitative in nature with its approach being a sociological approach, namely social construction theory. The objects that become the source of data in this research are community members who have participated in the haul tradition of Kyai Ageng Muhammad Besari, both from Tegalsari village and other pilgrims. To collect data relevant to this research, there are several techniques used, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the haul tradition of Kyai Ageng Muhammad Besari usually begins with the opening, manaqiban tradition, religious competitions between Islamic schools, and cultural carnival. Then tahlil kubro and ambengan at Jami' Tegalsari Mosque, sima'an Al-Qur'an, and finally closing. This tradition can also have a significant influence on the Tegalsari community, both in social and religious aspects. Finally, from this simple research, the researcher realizes that this research still has limitations and is not fully perfect. Therefore, criticism and suggestions from readers are highly expected in order to perfect this research so that it can make a better contribution in the future.
