EFFECTIVENESS OF SMART WINDOWS PUZZLE LEARNING MEDIA ON ISLAMIC EDUCATION LEARNING OUTCOMES IN GRADE 11 STUDENT OF SENIOR HIGH VOCATIONAL SCHOOL AL BASYARIYAH CARUBAN
Abstract
The research was motivated by problems in the development of learning processes in the
world of education. Observations carried out to strengthen existing problems at the Al Basyariyah
Pilangkenceng Senior High Vocational School, showed that the test of using the Smart Windows
Puzzle learning media, it was discovered that grade 11 students were studying Islamic Education
subjects. Overall students have obtained fairly good student learning outcomes in Islamic Education
subjects, but the learning model used is monotonous, learning outcomes are only cognitive, but
cannot cover all 3 educational domains. The field results, so the researchers want to compare the
influence of Islamic Education learning outcomes on the Smart Windows Puzzle learning media for
Class 11 students at Al Basyariyah Pilangkenceng Senior High Vocational School.
The point of the research is to find out the effectiveness, improvement, comparison and
influence of student learning outcomes using the experimental method on students using the Smart
Windows Puzzle learning media on an Islamic Education lesson for grade 11 students at Al
Basyariyah Pilangkenceng Senior High Vocational School. With using learning media, the aim is to
improve student learning outcomes.
This research is a Quantitative Experimental research using the Tru Experimental Design
method in the form of a Pretest-Posttest Control Design. This research was conducted in class 11
with a population of 81 students, with a sample of 50 students, 24 students in class 11 Mechanic 03
as the Experiment class, and 26 students in class 11 Mechanic 01 as the Control class. The sampling
used is Systematic Random Sampling (group samples) carried out systematically in this population.
The method used is a data collection method using a test (posttest) and an analysis method using the
IBM SPSS V27.0 program.
Data processing carried out by researchers can saw conclusions on the learning outcomes
of Islamic Education seen from the results of the posttest between the two classes studied, namely
the two class groups which obtained an average score in the experimental class, namely 89.58, while
the control class obtained an average score of 78.85. From the results of the data that has been tested,
it is proven that the mean value is 89.58 (Experimental Class) > 78.85 (Control Class). Strengthened
by the results of the Hypothesis test using the Mann Whitney U Test. This test was used because the
normality test was not achieved in the data analysis requirements. The results of the statistical
hypothesis test state that the significance value (Sig 2 Tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected
and H1 is accepted, so it can be concluded that the use of Smart Windows Puzzle learning media
has an effectiviness on Islamic Education learning outcomes.
From the research results, it is hoped that: (1. For teachers as educators at Al Basyariyah
Pilangkenceng Senior High Vocational School, they can become a reference in creating innovative
ideas in learning and also evaluation of Islamic Education learning activities and student learning
outcomes. (2. For schools, it is hoped that they will pay more attention to the evaluation of teaching
and learning activities for each material and especially the importance of integrating Islamic
Education subjects as important as scientific subjects in Senior High Vocational Schools.
