Abstract
This research aims to analyze the types of figurative language in Hexaxifos comic. Figurative language is a key element in artistic works that adds an artistic dimension to various mediums, including comics. The study is conducted to explore various types of figurative language used by comic author in creating comic. The research was employed is qualitative research. Figurative language identified is then analyzed to identify the types, frequency of usage, and its impact on interpretation of the comics. The results indicate that figurative language is highly used in Hexaxifos comic, providing depth and nuance to the stories conveyed by comic author. Various types of figurative language found in this comic are hyperbole 28,86% as most found types, simile 22,68%, synecdoche 21,64%, metaphor 14,43%, metonymy 8,33%, and personification as the least type with 4,12%, they used to appear variably in the observed comic collections. The frequency of figurative language usage also reflects the richness of language employed by comic author in expressing ideas and emotions. This research is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the role of figurative language in comics and contribute to the development of visual art studies. Additionally, the findings of this analysis can serve as a reference for readers, author, and linguist in exploring the figurative language in the comics. Keyword: Islamic Comic, Figurative Language
