Abstract

ABSTRACT Application of Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) in the Development of Sharia Equity Crowdfunding in Indonesia Fitriyati Sukma Novitasari 37.2016.41.31.073 This research was conducted to determine the problems and the strategy of developing sharia equity crowdfunding in Indonesia using the Interpretative Structural Modelling (ISM) approach.This method uses 9 elements related to the development of sharia equity crowdfunding. Respondents are experts from academics, practitioners and regulators who understand about the problem.The results of the research show that disclosure of information is still considered to be a major issue in the development of sharia equity crowdfunding due to the lack of public understanding of the extent to which things are considered confidential and things that are indeed appropriate for publication. The main strategy of developing sharia equity crowdfunding is the existence of regulations as a basis for protection and security for the community and sharia aspects, such as sharia declarations of business, contractual aspects, sharia issuers, sharia stock instruments, sharia banks as intermediaries for transactions and sharia supervisory board which oversees and evaluates thoroughly. In addition, a flexible administration and accounting system, competent human resources in accordance with the principles of good corporate governance to avoid gharar, maysir and tadlis practices, protection of intellectual property rights by the platform to business actors and the socialization and education of the community. With this results, the suggestionsto the development of sharia equity crowdfunding is giving information protection by registering database security related to the sharia equity crowdfunding platform, encouraging sharia equity crowdfunding regulations, the existence of sharia supervisory boards and supporting infrastructure related to sharia equity crowdfunding, such as the support of transaction agreements, sharia banks and issuers with Islamic business.
