Production is an activity that provides benefits and benefits in meeting consumer needs. The goal is to get maximum maslahah as a human effort to create wealth by utilizing natural resources. The purpose of this research is to analyze the concept of production which is carried out with a conventional approach with the production concept approach according to Muhammad Hasan As Syaibani. This research uses descriptive-analytical method. The concept of production generally defines that all activities in creating the use of goods or services without knowing the boundaries of halal and haram, in order to obtain material benefits. Meanwhile, the concept of Islamic production is able to properly utilize natural resources created by Allah. Muhammad Hasan as Syaibani, an economic thinker and also a faqih in the Umayyah dynasty, has written a production concept in his book Al Kasb which discusses the production that is applied, and the reasons for working in society, so that it can be justified. He defined al kasb (work) as an effort to find wealth in various lawful ways. This article tries to explain the concept of al kasb according to al Syaibani, that work is an important element in life to support the implementation of obligatory worship. Finally, this article concludes that al Syaibani has a unique view of production through work whose orientation is to achieve the ridho of Allah Most High and the creation of prosperity in the world.
