CATFISH POND WATER QUALITY MONITORING
IOT-BASED MOBILE APPLICATION
WITH TEMPERATURE AND PH LEVELS.

thesis, Universitas Darussalam Gontor.
Catfish farming, as one of the key aquaculture commodities, heavily relies on
maintaining optimal water quality. Changes in water quality parameters such as
temperature and pH levels can lead to stress, disease, or even mass mortality in
catfish, negatively impacting farming success. This study aims to develop an
Internet of Things (IoT)-based water quality monitoring system for catfish ponds,
integrated into a mobile application, with an early warning system for temperature
and pH levels. The system is designed to send real-time notifications to farmers
when water quality parameters reach dangerous thresholds. Testing was conducted
on a catfish pond at Gontor 1, behind Wisma Darussalam, showing that the system
effectively monitored temperature with a 95% success rate and pH with a 92%
accuracy rate. Overall, this system improves water management efficiency, farm
sustainability, and reduces the risk of losses due to mass catfish mortality.
