Abstract
This study is motivated by the importance of Qur’anic education for the younger generation, especially amid the challenges of moral decline and the lack of effective approaches in Qur’anic learning in schools. The Wafa method is applied at SDIT Baitussalam, Yogyakarta, as an innovative solution for tahsin and tahfidz learning. This method integrates a right-brain-based approach to make learning more engaging, effective, and enjoyable. It consists of five main steps: introduction, experience, reinforcement, assessment, and conclusion. The aim of this study is to examine the implementation of the Wafa method in tahsin and tahfidz learning at SDIT Baitussalam Yogyakarta and analyze its impact on learning success. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. The data is analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and verification. The study subjects include students and teachers at SDIT Baitussalam, focusing on learning strategies, evaluation, and supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the Wafa method.The results indicate that the Wafa method successfully enhances the quality of tahsin and tahfidz learning. This is reflected in students' achievements in reading the Qur'an according to tajwid rules and memorizing systematically. This method also proves effective in creating a conducive learning environment through creative approaches such as the Hijaz melody and multisensory activities. However, challenges were found among students with lower abilities who require intensive assistance. Strategies to address these challenges include strong support from teachers, parents, and school management.This study recommends advanced training for teachers to deepen their understanding of the Wafa method and strengthening collaboration between schools and parents. Further research is also needed to develop the Wafa method to be more inclusive and relevant in various Qur’anic learning contexts.
