Abstract
The application of technology in learning is becoming increasingly important to create an engaging learning environment that aligns with students’ needs in the digital era. However, learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah generally still relies on conventional and monotonous methods, which do not fully utilize technology-based media. This has led to suboptimal student learning outcomes, particularly in the Fiqh subject. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Kahoot application as a learning media on the learning outcomes of Fiqh for fourth-grade students at Nurussalam Islamic Elementary School in the 2024-2025 academic year. This study employs a quantitative approach with a non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control group experimental design. The research sample consists of 41 fourth-grade students, divided into two groups: the experimental group, which used Kahoot, and the control group, which employed conventional methods. The research instrument was a learning outcome test administered before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the treatment. The pre-test data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests. Since the pre-test data were not normally distributed but homogeneous, further analysis was conducted using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test. The results of the study showed a significance value of 0.034 (< 0.05), indicating that the use of the Kahoot application had a significant effect on students’ Fiqh learning outcomes. Thus, the Kahoot application can enhance students’ learning outcomes in the subject of Fiqh. Based on the research findings, it is recommended that teachers utilize technology-based learning media, such as Kahoot, to create interactive and enjoyable learning experiences. Schools should also provide training for teachers and ensure adequate supporting facilities are available.
