Amar, Zuhdi Akhdan
Abstract
The Reog Ponorogo Festival is a systemic series that is built on the basis of the joints of people's lives, such as art, culture, social, economic, and other cultural aspects. This festival is the realization of the culture and art of the Ponorogo community, which uses the cultural dimension as the main axis in harmonizing various other dimensions. This study aims to analyze event management in the implementation of the Ponorogo National Reog Festival in 2024. The approach used in this study is qualitative with a phenomenological method. The results of the study show that the event management of the Ponorogo National Reog Festival follows the event management theory put forward by Joe Goldblatt, which includes five main stages: Research, Design, Planning, Coordination, and Evaluation. 1) Research is carried out by digging up sources of information from art actors in every corner of Ponorogo City and also looking at the National Festval Reog event from previous years 2) Design involves a brainstorming process to collect and combine ideas from various individuals to create a solid theme, concept, and event structure. 3) Planning includes determining the location, time, and duration of the event. 4) Coordination is realized through the formation of a crew team, regular meetings, and coordination time in each event concept. 5) Evaluation is carried out by collecting BAST records (handover minutes) as evaluation material. This research is expected to be a reference for the implementation of the Ponorogo National Reog Festival event in the future so that it is more optimal in its implementation.
