Hasanah, Nia (2024) THE APPLICATION OF HISTORICAL SNAKES AND LADDERS LEARNING MEDIA IN IMPROVING STUDENT ACTIVENESS AND LEARNING RESULT OF SIXTH- GRADE STUDENTS MIN 14 NGAWI ON SUBJECT ISLAMIC CULTURAL HISTORY IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024 - 2025. S1 Undergraduate thesis, Universitas Darussalam Gontor.
Abstract
The problem identified in this study is the low learning outcomes of grade 6 MI students in the subject of Islamic Cultural History. This issue is caused by the teacher's use of the lecture method, which is considered monotonous and boring. As a result, students lose interest, find it difficult to focus on the teacher's explanations, and struggle to understand the material being taught. The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement in students' learning outcomes and their engagement through the application of the Historical Ladder Snake Media in the subject of Islamic Cultural History in grade 6 of MIN Ngawi. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach, based on the concepts introduced by Kemmis and McTaggart. The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 6th-grade MI students, using research instruments such as tests, observations, and documentation. The use of Historical Ladder Snake media has been proven to improve students' learning outcomes. This is evident from the results of cycle I, where the average student score was 79, with a success rate of 80%. A significant improvement was observed in cycle II, with the average score rising to 95 and the success rate reaching 90.5%. This media enhances understanding in an enjoyable way and supports smooth classroom learning. Students are encouraged to maintain their enthusiasm for optimal results. Researchers should also maximize its use in this lesson and future activities to enrich the learning experience and improve teaching effectiveness.
