with good character through comprehensive materials and interactive learning methods. The design
of teaching materials and content of Tarikh Islam in modern Islamic boarding schools includes
learning about important events in Tarikh Islam, such as the life of the Prophet Muhammad SAW
and wars, as well as the wisdom behind them. This material is designed to integrate aspects of
historical knowledge with spiritual values, to form students with noble character and critical thought.
The design of the Tarikh Islam learning experience based on Ikhwan As-Shafa's thought in modern
Islamic boarding schools emphasizes the active involvement of the five senses and the soul. This
approach connects historical knowledge with the application of Islamic values in everyday life. The
advantage of this curriculum design is to support students to achieve the learning objectives of Tarikh
Islam, the disadvantage is to balance the intellectual and spiritual aspects.
Based on the conclusions, it is suggested that the Tarikh Islam curriculum in modern
Islamic boarding schools should integrate the concept of holistic education of Ikhwan as-Shafa, by
balancing the rational and spiritual aspects. Further research is needed to deepen the analysis and
explore its implementation in various contexts of modern Islamic boarding school education.
