Abstract
Around the world, natural disasters such as earthquakes, droughts, storms, floods, volcanic activity, extreme temperatures, landslides and forest fires. Overall, in 2023, 398 natural disasters were recorded worldwide. The United States experienced 25 natural disasters that year, making it the most natural disaster-prone country that year. According to the World Risk Report for 2023, Indonesia ranks second out of 193 countries with a disaster risk level of 43.50%. Based on data from January 2023 to June 2024, especially East Java Province, 218 disasters occurred. Indonesian hospitals have faced a number of disasters in the past three years, which disrupted health infrastructure and services. There were about 3,532 disaster events recorded in 2021, In 2022 there were 2,399 disaster events. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research. Based on this research design is descriptive. This study aims to collect data by making observations according to a standardized list of questions made by WHO which refers to the Hospital Safety Index to determine the readiness of hospitals in dealing with disaster emergency situations, using the Safety Index Calculator. The overall assessment of the analysis of the preparedness of Dr. Harjono S Hospital in the face of disasters based on the Hospital Safety Index (HSI) shows that this hospital has successfully achieved category A with a score of 0.72. This score reflects a good level of preparedness in the face of various potential disasters, including earthquakes and floods, The results show that RSUD dr. Harjono S, Ponorogo has made significant efforts in disaster risk management planning and implementation, as well as involving staff in preparedness training Based on the results of this study it is recommended that Dr. Harjono S Hospital continue to improve their capacity and preparedness. Despite having achieved a high score, it is important to conduct periodic evaluations of the emergency response plan and involve more parties in simulations and training.
