Abstract

ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF ISLMIC LEADERSHIP ON THE PERFORMANCE OF MUSLIM EMPLOYEES (Case Study Lancar Store Magelang) Teuku Hamdisyah 35.2014.4.1.0746 The nature of leadership is an activity or a process in affecting other people to carry out activities in order to achieve targeted goals, there are many opinion relating with the function carried out by a leader to influence followers or employees. Leadership always involves someone’s efforts to influence the behavior of a followers. The problem formulation in this study is whether Islamic leadership influences the performance of Muslim employees at Lancar Stores? How much influence does Islamic leadership have on employee performance at the Lancar Store? based on the description, the problem that arises is whether there is an influence of Islamic leadership on employee performance at the Lancar Store. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of Islamic leadership on employee performance at the Lancar Store. Data is obtained from distributing questionnaires to 12 Lancar Store employees, which were obtained using simple saturation, then it analyzed using quantitative data analysis. Quantitative analysis includes validity and reliability test, classic assumption test, simple regression analysis, hypothesis testing through t test, and determination coefficient analysis (R2), while the data processing uses SPSS 16.00 for windows. The results of this study indicate that Islamic leadership influences the performance of Muslim employees, with a calculated t value of 2.453 for Islamic leadership, 2.282 for employee performance. Based on these values, it is known that Islamic leadership is significant towards the performance of Muslim employees. And the influence of Islamic leadership on the performance of Muslim employees is 21.3%, and 78,7% is influenced by other factors. This means that the variable X (Islamic leadership) has a significant effect on employee performance. Keywords: Islamic Leadership, Employees Performance
