Abstract

The increase of pollution in Indonesia makes the utilization of fruit more widespread as an antioxidant, especially in topical use. Serum is one of the topical preparations that can deliver greater active substances with the highest absorption in the skin. Flavonoids as active substances used as antioxidants. The method used is the experimental method Includes sample processing, flavonoid screening, extract preparation, serum preparation formulation with 3 concentrations of 0,3 g; 0,45 g; dan 0,6 g. Antioxidant activity testing using DPPH method and physical quality test, namely, pH, homogeneity, spreadability, viscosity and stability test for 9 days using freeze and thaw method. The results of antioxidant activity testing with DPPH method showed that the IC50 of peach extract; F1; F2; F3 and Vitamin C were 40.742 μg/mL; 61.4646 μg/mL; 78.4615 μg/mL; 62.550 μg/mL and 1.8366 μg/mL. Peach fruit extract serum is clear, transparent, odorless and slightly viscous, pH 5.0-6.5, viscosity 40-150 cP and spreadability 5-7 cm. After storage for 9 days at 40oC and 4oC refrigerator temperature, there is a change in serum texture. The strongest antioxidant activity among the three formulas was addressed by formula I which amounted to 61.4646 μg/mL.
