Haryadi, Risma Aulia (2024) THE INFLUENCE OF SCHOOL WELL-BEING ON STUDENT LEARNING MOTIVATION AT SMPIT DARUL HUFFADZ BOARDING SCHOOL BEKASI. S1 Undergraduate thesis, Universitas Darussalam Gontor.
Abstract
The educational process involves numerous factors that influence and support its smooth operation, with one crucial factor being the presence of wellstructured and organized learning motivation for students. In the concept of school well-being, the components of well-being are divided into four dimensions: belonging (school conditions), loving (social relationships), being (selffulfillment), and health. The concept of school well-being is formed by these four interconnected dimensions. This study aims to determine the effect of school well-being on student learning motivation at SMPIT Darul Huffadz Boarding School Bekasi. This study used non-probability total sampling in a quantitative survey research design. When doing research on populations under 100, complete sampling should be utilized to ensure that every person of the population is sampled as a respondent who provides information. This results in 84 samples using the measuring tools, which are the learning motivation scale and the school well-being scale. In SMPIT Darul Huffadz Bekasi, a simple linear regression analysis using the SPSS version 25.0 computer program found that variable X (school well-being) significantly influences variable Y (learning motivation). The analysis involved 84 respondents or samples, and obtained a significant value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, at a significance level of 5%. Based on the study’s conclusion, the researcher provides suggestions, including: 1) schools can concentrate on programs that can increase student learning motivation. This can be achieved through a more personalized approach, interactive learning, and appreciation for students' efforts and achievements. 2) Teachers are advised to continue strengthening interpersonal relationships with students, creating a friendly, supportive, and safe classroom atmosphere. 3) Further research is needed to expore further the specific factors in school Well Being that most influence learning motivation, so that schools can focus on more effective interventions.
