Waqf-Business model is the strategy of pesantren business units faces risks and overcomes all problems in accordance with the value of Islamic Boarding School Darussalam, as a mecca and in line with the value of Islamic values because they are not many business units that combine waqf-based and pesantren-based, this research uses a qualitative approach of descriptive method and case studies, with observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The determination of resource persons used purposive sampling, by involving 10 persons. Data collected through field observations, interviews with resource persons, and documentation with journals, and related articles. The results of this study are that the waqf business unit at Pesantren has a very important role in supporting the financial sustainability of the university. Various business units that are managed in a professional, transparent and accountable manner are able to support university operations without relying on external funds, The waqf system implemented at UNIDA Gontor is based on the concept of productive waqf, Transparent Financial Management System: The financial management of Pesantren- Based University business units is carried out in a transparent and accountable manner through a structured reporting system, including daily, weekly reports, monthly, to yearly. By implementing this model, the university's business units can continue to grow and can contribute to education as a Pesantren-based university in Indonesia.
