Abstract

ABSTRAK QIRO’ATI METHOD AND ITS APPLICATION IN MEMORIZING AL-QUR’AN AT HAMALATUL QUR’AN AL-FALAKIYAH BOARDING SCHOOL, BOGOR Nada Tifal Jamalah 402019238124 Dalam Al-Qur’an terdapat sinergi antara membaca Al-Qur’an secara tartil dengan menghafalkannya. Bacaan tartil dideskripsikan sebagai bacaan yang jelas huruf perhurufnya, atau disebut juga bacaan Al-Qur’an dengan tajwid. Al-Falakiyah memilih metode Qiro’ati sebagai metode unggul untuk digunakan agar siswa dapat membaca Al-Qur’an dengan tartil, dan diaplikasikan dalam menghafalkan Al-Qur’an karena tingkat keefektifannya yang tinggi. Metode Qiro’ati merupakan sebuah metode cara membaca Al-Qur'an yang menekankan langsung pada praktik. Metode ini didasarkan pada prinsip belajar dengan berbuat (learning by doing), juga dikenal dengan cara membaca Al-Qur’an dengan tajwid, tanpa dieja dan sesuai dengan makhrajnya. Maka menarik untuk untuk mengkaji metode Qiro’ati dan bagaimana pengaplikasiannya dalam menghafalkan Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan metode Qiro’ati dan pengaplikasiannya di Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Qur’an Al-Falakiyah. Dalam mengkaji penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan psikologi yang merujuk pada buku Pengantar Psikologi I karya Richard Atkinson. Menurut Atkinson ingatan terbagi menjadi dua; daya ingat seseorang (ingatan jangka pendek dan ingatan jangka panjang), dan tahapan dalam ingatan (encoding, storage stage dan retrieval). Materi-materi yang terdapat di Qiro’ati terbukti sesuai dengan cara kerja ingatan, hal ini membantu siswa menghindari kesalahan dalam ingatan atau disebut juga lupa. Dengan melihat hasil aplikasi metode Qiro’ati di Al-Falakiyah, siswa tidak menemukan kesulitan ketika mencoba mengingat ayat-ayat. Berdasarkan psikologi ingatan, Atkinson mengungkapkan bahwa suatu materi haruslah tidak terlalu banyak tapi juga tidak terlalu sedikit. Peneliti juga menemukan terdapat beberapa siswa yang merasa kesulitan dalam menerapkan standar bacaan Qiro’ati, dan banyaknya materi yang harus dipelajari. Pengajar di Al-Falakiyah juga mengungkapkan hal tersebut menjadi penyebab siswa menghabiskan waktu yang cukup panjang untuk mempelajari Qiro’ati. Akhirnya penulis melihat adanya dampak positif dan negatif dalam penggunaan metode Qiro’ati dan pengaplikasiannya untuk menghafal Al-Qur’an. Maka dari itu penulis berharap agar kedepannya ada peneliti yang mengambil topik tersebut agar semakin sempurna pembahasan ini. Tartil reading is described a clear reading of each letter, and reading the Al-Qur’an with tajweed. Al-Falakiyah choose the Qiro’ati method as the superior method to be used so that students can read the Al-Qur’an in tartil, and apply it in memorizing the Al-Qur’an due to its high level of effectiveness. Qiro’ati is a method of reading the Al-Qur’an that emphasizes direct practice. It is based on the principle of learning by doing, it is also known as reading with tajweed, without spelling and according to its makhraj. Therefore, studying the Qiro’ati method and how it is applied in memorizing the Al-Qur’an is important. This study aims to reveal the Qiro’ati method and its application at the Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Qur’an Al-Falakiyah. The research method used is qualitative with descriptive analysis with a psychological approach that refers to the book Introduction to Psychology I by Richard Atkinson. According to Atkinson, memory is divided into two: an individual's memory capacity (short-term and long-term memory), and the stages of memory (encoding, storage stage, and retrieval). The materials in Qiro'ati have been proven to be consistent with how memory works, which helps students avoid memory errors, also known as forgetting. Based on the results of applying the Qiro'ati method at Al-Falakiyah, students did not find it difficult to remember the verses. Based on memory psychology, Atkinson revealed that material should not be too much or too little. The researcher also found that some students found it difficult to apply the Qiro'ati reading standards, and the amount of material that had to be learned. The teachers at Al-Falakiyah also revealed that this was why students spent a significant amount of time studying Qiro'ati. Finally, the author saw both positive and negative impacts of using the Qiro'ati method and its application for memorizing the Qur'an.
