Khairunnisa, Khairunnisa (2024) THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE FLIPPED CLASSROOM LEARNING MODEL IN ENHANCING THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF ISLAMIC CULTURE HISTORY MATERIAL FOR GRADE 5 STUDENTS AT IMBS MIFTAHUL ULUM PEKAJANGAN PEKALONGAN. S1 Undergraduate thesis, Universitas Darussalam Gontor.
Abstract
Learning models are instrumental in enhancing student outcomes and achieving desired educational goals. The Flipped Classroom model consists of studying the material at home prior to attending class sessions. Class time is then utilized for completing assignments, engaging in discussions, and addressing problems that students may find challenging to comprehend. The objectives of this study are to (1) Determine the learning outcomes of the Islamic Cultural History of students who use the Flipped Classroom learning model, (2) Determine the learning outcomes of the Islamic Cultural History of students who use the conventional learning model, and (3) Determine the effectiveness of the Flipped Classroom learning model in improving the learning outcomes of Islamic Cultural History of grade 5 students at IMBS Miftahul Ulum Pekajangan. The research uses a type of quantitative research experiment using the True Experimental Design method in the form of Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. The population in this study is class 5A and 5B, with a sample of 30 students using the Random Sampling Technique. The methods used for data collection are observation, testing and documentation methods. 1) After using the flipped classroom model, the experimental class improved from a pre-test average of 64.33 to a post-test average of 78.53. 2) The control class showed no significant change, with a pre-test average of 62.00 and a post-test average of 69.33. 3) A comparison revealed a significant difference in post-test scores (sig 0.035 < 0.05), confirming the effectiveness of the Flipped Classroom model. Based on the conclusion, the researcher put forward several suggestions: (1) The importance of applying a more varied and creative learning model, such as Flipped Classroom, to improve student learning outcomes. (2) Teachers are encouraged to be more active in using technology tailored to students' needs. In addition, the results of this study can be a reference for future researchers to develop new approaches that are relevant in teaching Islamic Cultural History.
