ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS SELF EFFICACY, SOCIAL SUPPORT AND ISLAMIC MOTIVATION ON WORK READINESS: CASE STUDY OF FINAL YEARS STUDENTS AT UNIVERSITYOF DARUSSALAM GONTOR
Abstract
The increasing competition in the job market demands that final-year students be well-prepared to transition into the workforce. Key factors such as self-efficacy, social support, and Islamic motivation play a crucial role in shaping students’ readiness for employment. This study aims to examine the influence of these three factors on the job readiness of final year students at University of Darussalam Gontor.A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey method, with final-year students as respondents. Data were collected through a validated and reliable questionnaire. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to assess the impact of each variable on job readiness.The findings indicate that self-efficacy has a significant positive influence on students' readiness to enter the workforce. In contrast, social support does not appear to have a meaningful impact. Meanwhile, Islamic motivation plays a crucial role in enhancing students' preparedness for professional life. Collectively, these three factors contribute to students’ overall readiness to face workplace challenges.In conclusion, self-efficacy and Islamic motivation are key determinants of job readiness among final-year students, whereas social support does not have a significant effect. The implications of this study highlight the need for educational institutions to implement programs that foster students' confidence and motivation, particularly those based on Islamic values, to better equip them for their future careers.
