Abstract

Islamic Education is an important lesson that must be taught to children as a whole so that children know, understand and understand the purpose of life in the world, namely to become caliphs on earth and to worship Allah SWT. However, the subjects of Islamic Education are still below the average score. Based on the examination data that has been received by researchers in the 2022/2023 school year, the completeness of student learning outcomes only reaches 50% with an average score of 60.1. This situation occurs because conventional learning still dominates, namely the lecture and question and answer learning methods without any more variations to attract students' interest. So from this data, student learning outcomes need to be improved. So that researchers use quiz media with PowerPoint as a solution to improve student learning outcomes so that no students are bored in the learning process and attract students' interest in learning media. This study aims to determine the utilization of Quiz Media with PowerPoint that can improve the learning outcomes of 5th grade students in the subject of Islamic Education class V at SDN Kedungharjo 02 Mantingan Ngawi in the 2023-2024 school year. This research is a descriptive qualitative Classroom Action Research (CAR). Applied in class V which amounted to 18 students consisting of 11 boys and 7 girls at SDN Kedungharjo 02 Mantingan Ngawi. Classroom Action Research was carried out in 3 cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. Classroom action research consists of 4 steps, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of this study show that in cycle I there were 8 students (44.44%) who had not reached completeness in learning with student absorption reaching 72%. In cycle II there were 11 students (61.11%) who had not reached completeness in learning with student absorption reaching 86%. In cycle III there was an increase to 15 students (83.33%) who reached completeness in learning with student absorption reaching 87% with these results already achieving the learning desired by researchers. Based on the research that has been conducted by researchers regarding quiz learning media with PowerPoint to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic Education subjects, the researcher's suggestion is that it is hoped that teachers can use quiz media with PowerPoint in the learning process so that learning can vary and not stick to just one method or strategy. And giving special emphasis on the main and important material is done to further solidify students' understanding, memory and application of the subject matter.
